Blog Assignment #9:Media Saves the Beach in the News

"As of yesterday, we had an estimated 721,000 people at San Diego beaches and we could reach close to a million for the holiday weekend".

This is relevant because it's talking about how many people flocked to the beach over Labor Day Weekend. While that doesn't seem like an issue, it could be very harmful to the environment if those people left a lot of garbage and debris and such. It says that the beaches were properly staffed, but who knows how much trash was still left behind? All that is directly on the beach, and floats directly into the ocean directly after all of those baechgoers leave. That contaminates the water very quickly and in large amounts.
